Abstract

Horner syndrome (HS) can be caused by injury along the cervical sympathetic trunk. Although HS is commonly associated with apical tumor of lung or carotid artery dissection, it was also reported as a rare complication of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). We present a patient who developed HS by injured sympathetic trunk after ACDF. Because ACDF is the most popular surgical practice of cervical disc herniation, it¡¯s important to understand the anatomical structure to prevent HS.
